Restaurant menu I created for DJ’s Pizza in Huntsville, AL. This was a laminated tri-fold done in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. I also shot and edited all of the photos of the menu items.

This is a logo I designed for a friend who creates and sells firearms and related accessories.

The annual Summerfest event for the Space & Rocket Center has been rebranded as “Space Camp Reunion Weekend”. I came up with this retro-inspired design that draws from both of the original Space Camp and Aviation Challenge program logos from the 1980s.

In 2020, I was hired by former astronaut Thomas Stafford to design his personal challenge coin. He wanted the coin to spotlight his 1975 Apollo-Soyuz mission between the US and the Soviet Union, which he felt was an even bigger achievement than his flight to the moon.

General Stafford flew four space missions total. After leaving NASA, he worked to help develop the first stealth aircraft, and served as the primary defense advisor for President Ronald Reagan.

Only 300 of these coins were produced, and each one bears a serial number on the back side. Sadly, Stafford passed away just four years after the coins were produced. It’s unknown how many of them are in circulation.

It was a great honor to work with General Stafford, and this project stands out as one of my personal favorites. Special thanks to retired USAF Colonel William “Burke” Hare for setting up the opportunity. I love doing coins!

The Rocket Center teamed up with local Huntsville brewery Yellowhammer to produce a Tang-flavored, space-themed beer called T-Minus. Proceeds from the sale of this beer would go towards Space Camp scholarships for kids. So the Rocket Center asked me if I would design the label for it. Since a lot of this beer would be consumed underneath the Saturn V at the Rocket Center’s weekly Biergarten event, it was a no-brainer to make the Saturn V rocket the centerpiece of the design. Since the beer is a Tangerine Kolsch, I made the moon behind the rocket a tangerine, and incorporated the Yellowhammer logo into that. The design and the beer was a big hit, and it quickly became the brewery’s top-selling beer.

This is a poster I designed for one of Thomas’ “Me, Myself & Us Concert Series” events, featuring drummer Liberty Devitto. Thomas regularly hosts these concerts where he performs with seasoned and talented musicians from around the world.

Pimento Cheese food packaging and marketing graphics I created for The Chef & His Wife

My friend Czarina asked me to design a logo for her non-profit organization that sends Native American girls from the desert southwest to Space Camp. I based my design off of Leonardo Davinci’s famous “Vitruvian Man” illustration. The design shows a Native American girl in both her home environment of the desert, as well as in space above the Earth. The three stars represent the three Space Camp programs, and also reference the stars used on the Space Camp logo.

This is a logo I did for Apollosaturn.com, a historical reference website dedicated to the hardware used in NASA’s Apollo program. The client needed an image that was technically accurate that could pass the critiques of his scrupulous clientele. I incorporated the Saturn V artwork from the T-Minus beer packaging that I had originally created for the US Space & Rocket Center, and modified it to fit this new layout.

This later spawned a Saturn IB variant, and was made into patches, stickers and t-shirts.

Vector drawings of the proposed Space Launch System (SLS) Block I rocket with Orion spacecraft, which includes the racing stripes from the 2016 concept. In the last image, I’ve included the original paint scheme that was based off of the Apollo Saturn V. I created these drawings using Adobe Illustrator.

This is a vector portrait drawing I did of my friend Kristy Collins in Adobe Illustrator. I believe it took me about 12 or 14 hours to create.

Every year I create the graphics for Rocket City Summerfest, which serves as the annual reunion event for Space Camp. The weekend full of activities is capped off by an outdoor concert, and this is the logo and stage graphics I came up with for the 2018 event.

Every year I get to design the poster advertising the concert that the Rocket Center puts on for Summerfest. This concert takes place outside, usually in front of the Space Shuttle “Pathfinder” display. This is the poster for the 2017 event that featured cover band Party Of The Year, a side project of the Black Jacket Symphony.

My logo/embroidered patch design to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo moon landings. The design incorporates elements from the original NASA emblem for the Apollo 11 mission that landed the first astronauts on the moon. I drew this by hand in Adobe Illustrator and have about 70 hours in just the astronaut figure alone. Scroll down for more detail.

NASA creates a logo or “patch” for every thing they do. They asked me to create this emblem for their ground systems teams responsible for launching rockets from Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

Part of the annual Summerfest event at the Space & Rocket Center is the Space Camp Hall of Fame dinner and induction ceremony. For this, I created this pop-up banner stand with the Hall of Fame logo and a vector illustration of the Rocket Center that I created in Adobe Illustrator. This design gets updated every year.

In 2024, I had the privilege of designing an unofficial patch to support Jared Issacman's Polaris Dawn SpaceX mission. The design was to be printed on t-shirts for Mr. Issacman's post-flight team field trip to Disney's Epcot.

The design mimics the visual style of prior SpaceX mission patches, including the official patch of the Polaris Dawn mission. It features the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft flying over the Epcot structure, the crew members names, and the phrase "one more orbit", referencing the field trip in the spirit of the flight. The latin phrase next to the spacecraft translates to "we celebrate together". A sunburst appears over the Epcot building to represent the sun rising, and its shine reflects nicely off the spacecraft orbiting above it.

This project came to me very last minute, and I was thankful to have had the bandwidth to pull it off in time. I hope to tackle more projects like this for Mr. Issacman and SpaceX in the future.

I was asked by The Mars Generation to create a logo for their 2-year anniversary in 2017. I sought to capture the excitement of a manned mission to Mars by showing an astronaut on the Martian surface, and a NASA SLS rocket. The two stars in the sky are for each anniversary year.

The logo design was later made into limited-edition patches and t-shirts for fundraising.

This is a banner illustration I did for Buds Sports Bar for their Super Bowl party in 2013. This was also made into t-shirts.

Rock ‘N’ Sav was a music festival my client put together. He asked me to design the logo, flyer, tickets, t-shirts and a 6’ x 4’ banner for it.

I joined an online community of space enthusiasts in 2013 and they didn’t have a logo. So I took it upon myself to create one for them. At that time, I had been studying the trending “hipster style” of logo design, and since this group was called Space Hipsters, I decided to take a stab at it and see what a hipster-style Space Hipsters logo might look like. And this is what happened.

In 2015, much to my surprise and everyone else in the group, a photo of the Space Hipsters logo floating on board the International Space Station was posted in the online forum. This would be the first time one of my designs had ever been flown in space!

The last image is a Mars-themed variant I did of the logo for a special group promotion.

The leader and founder of The Mars Generation is Astronaut Abby, a young college student and aspiring astronaut. She hosts a regular web series on YouTube called “Ask Abby”, where she takes questions from viewers and answers them in ways that are fun and entertaining for kids. I have been working with The Mars Generation to create thumbnails and other graphics for the YouTube site to help promote the series.

So here we have the thumbnail I created for an Ask Abby episode where she answers “When Are We Going To Mars?”, as well as the banner for the main channel page.

Every year, The Mars Generation selects and recognizes 24 young adults under age 24 as “Leaders and Innovators in STEAM”. I was asked to design a special logo that would be made into patches, and given to the award winners. I chose the rectangular shape so that it would look more like a badge than an insignia.
